Not convinced that releasing every year is necessarily an issue. There were definitely diminishing returns as far as MW3 and Ghosts are concerned though.
Haha, I'm still playing Destiny! There's always backlash on articles, but a huge silent majority who just read and enjoy the game. That's why lots of sites write a strangely large number of articles - negative comments but I bet they get loads of views.
Konami, you should be terrified. Without MGS and SH you have... what? PES? Practically nothing of interest.
Good points, and I hope that Kojima enjoys whatever he ends up doing next. Maybe film? (being serious: he might experiment with another medium for a bit before setting down into gaming - just a feeling)
Yeah, not only does it sound fun but it also sounds like a true step forward while fixing that issue.
@MysticStrummer: Ah I think you might have misunderstood. I mean that they have past form in overhyping and underdelivering, and this time they don't deserve our unconditional faith. They have to earn it - and if it's good, I'll buy it. No preorder.
Well put.
IMO the first game's campaign, played on Insane with a friend in local co-op, is as good as it gets. Especially when you agree to only use the chainsaw in certain sections for the gory lulz.
I'd rather leave Gears behind.
Look, I loved Gears. It was the game I bought my Xbox 360 for and followed all of it! Judgment. Novels. Bought the Crimson Omen T Shirt. Stopped just short of the lancer replica.
But I feel like Xbox needs new mascots and franchises now. I'd have much preferred to see what Black Tusk could do without creative restrictions.
Oh for sure, I agree 100%. This hobby is about joy and wondrous things, there's no place for unwarranted cynicism either.
It's just that, in this case, EA have past form. This time I think they need to earn our trust rather than just expect it.
I think it's healthy to be sceptical and be proven wrong. Better to be pleasantly surprised rather than horribly disappointed.
Surely a *Kapella* ?
"Give me another season of Wolf Among Us though for sure."
Yes. Absolutely yes. I hope that Telltale aren't taking too much on too soon, that's what sparked their slump in reputation and quality just a few years ago (pre-TWD).
Yeah, the series was immense. Never rated Daredevil but the Netflix casting and scripting was spot on. And the fight scenes... wow. Kinda Raid/Oldboy-esque in places.
Agree tho, Kingpin stole the show! Can't believe it's D'Onofrio, didn't recognise him without the hair/beard!
No arguments here. Great game from talented devs, barely even scratched the surface of all the mods!
Glad we finally had the chance to play it, but it really should have been released on Vita IMO.
And we win! :D In fact, the only winners of price wars are us gamers, and that's how it should be.
Slightly OT but can't believe I paid £429 at launch. Still, had a lot of fun with it and you can't put a price on that.
No. Seriously, no. There's some broken logic in here: none of these things -- microtransactions, DLC etc -- were implemented in reaction to not having enough money to make the games. Publishers have and make millions. They just want MORE.
Just look at the interview with Ubisoft's Tony Key (the YT vid is not hard to find). They want $200. DLC won't go away, in fact, publishers love the fact that their games get a long tail.
But DLC doesn't have...
Fair enough. Look, I really like Goat Simulator, but by the same token it's good that some outlets are criticising it as well!
Yup, but annoying since I bought one for Bloodborne!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed. At all. The game is magnificent and the console is fantastic. But... man that thing is pretty.
"Guessing we've had it for zone of the Enders 3 now too?"
... I hadn't even thought about that.
Now I'm going to lie in a corner. I'm not crying. I just spilled some... tears... on my face.
